Imagine time travel going wrong again and instead of 1 Bucky you have 2; one from the present and also one from the 40′s standing on the platform with him. 

At first, Bucky doesn’t really mind, curious to watch himself interact with others, giving him a glimpse of how he would have been had he not gone through years of torture from Hydra.  Everyone loved to see the happy, boyish soldier laughing and charming his way out of anything, giving Tony a run for his money when it came to making ladies swoon.

Bucky doesn’t mind until his finds himself flirting with you the most. 

Clearly any version of him is obsessed with you. 

At first, its amusing.

But its not anymore. 

“He’s a punk” Bucky huffed, narrowing his eyes at the way you giggled, biting you lip shyly when 40′s Bucky throws you a wink, the both of you mingling around the kitchen while everyone had gathered together for a movie night. 

“He’s you” Steve snorted, shaking his head at the way Bucky glared watching his past self pull all his signature moves, all working like a charm to make you warm and fuzzy. 

“Well she doesn’t have to like it” He pouted while you giggled again, playfully swatting his arm when he whispered something in your ear. 

Bucky nearly goes bonkers when he hears that punk call you doll and sugar, those sweet pet names he had reserved for you. 

“Hey sugar”

“She’s my sugar”

“Hey doll” 

“Only I can call her that”

“Wanna dance, pretty lady?”

“I’ll cut the other arm off, don’t touch her” 

Bucky rubbed his temples, almost hating himself for being such a ladies man, as you talked his ear off that night over how charming and handsome the soldier way. 

“I’m him, you know that doll” Bucky cocked an eyebrow while you kissed his grumpy face, loving how jealous he got over himself. Bucky never interfered in what happened in Tony’s lab but he started to visit regularly to check on the progress of the time machine, ready to send his ass back without a second thought. 

Sam had a field day, loving the sight of Bucky getting a taste of his own medicine of what it felt like when someone got all the pretty girls to themselves.

“Who is terminator mad at?”

“Himself”

“Who you so pissed at, tin man?”

“Me” 

With Bucky’s gentle threats, the time machine was fixed in no time, the bright eyed, cheeky soldier standing on the platform once again. 

“I’ll miss him” You pouted, giving a smile to Bucky from the 40′s as he blew you a kiss before a white light flashed, sending him back to the tight timeline. 

“Him? Really?” Bucky rolled his eyes while you grinned, throwing your arms around your boyfriends shoulders, playfully nipping at his bottom lip jutting out. 

“Yeah, him, you jealous baby?” You teased, yelping when he tossed you over his shoulder, giving you ass a swat. He took you straight to your shared bedroom, dropping you onto the mattress with a cocky smirk on his face, slowly crawling on top of you. As much as you loved the sweet innocent Bucky you had fun with for a few days, this Bucky made your mouth stop working and your heart beat faster, a dangerous little menace. 

“Let me remind you who you really belong to sweets”

Elaborations under the cut

1- based off of the official art where half the time he's drinking he's just passed out or he's just smiling at nothing. I can see him becoming a functioning alcoholic who drinks mostly because it helps him sleep but I don't think he would want to be that vulnerable in his daily life, especially when hanging out with Kristoph.

2- He was just as spikey as a baby, but also the style seems intentional rather than just how it grows.

3- PW vs PL reference? idk the vibe that in an alternate timeline where he forgets that he's a lawyer he becomes a baker with Maya is just fun so I think he just likes baking in general. Also, I'm a sucker for those AUs where he's a baker. He seems like the type to get stuck in his head while kneading bread dough and regularly makes those kinds of breads that have to basically be beat up to get his anger out. No therapy, only bread.

4- This feels self-explanatory, he can also dance, at least in the way that he can pick up choreography and bullshit his way through any performance. I also think it would be sweet if he sang lullabies to Trucy while she was growing up.

5- There are multiple instances where he passes out from stress and his internal dialogue mentions that he's 'feeling lightheaded' like GIRL... GO TO THE DOCTOR. And he did but that meant that he can't drive in case he gets too stressed driving and passes out... which would not be good.

6- Again, self-explanatory, this man has an abnormal brain, good for him.

7- I don't exactly know what he has tattooed on him but I can see this guy, who is unaffected by pain and also an art major, having a few designs on him. Maybe a dragon winding around his shoulder or a few little silly things on his legs and arms. He doesn't really flaunt them and everyone gets surprised when its the combined prosecutors office and WAA beach day.

8- The magatama should make him look a little spooky, I think it would be fun. Also, I think he should use it to jumpscare anyone who is around while he is sneaking into his kitchen to eat baby carrots when he wants a midnight snack.

9- I've spoken about this before and I will probably do so again, I just think he needs an awful cat as a pet project when Trucy moves out and he gets lonely. It's a better outlet than trying to fix a person who might fake their death or try to poison him.

10- You cannot tell me that undefeated poker player extraordinaire isn't completely in control of his tells as much as he possibly can be. He can dodge questions and provide perfectly true but vague answers. I just think he can be so incredibly cagey and secretive when he has to be, even though he's typically pretty emotionally open. He learned it from Mia (Ms. 'didn't tell Phoenix she had a sister even though they've known each other for years' Fey)

1/2 So this is driving me crazy cause I only noticed it after my hundredth rewatch of khux, but do all the cutscenes involving the union leaders only take place in like 4~ish days? I know UX is suppose to take place over a year, but when looking at the cutscenes with just the union leaders I think I counted like 4 days lol. I think the first day is from when they meet in the graveyard to when they enter the foretellers chamber for the first time cause Skuld tells them "not the touch anything".

We have no hard confirmation for the timeline of…any of the union leaders scenes, really. But we do know that a lot of the scenes do happen in tandem and consecutively or like you said, within the span of a few days. Let me follow things with you…

Shift Pride’s the tricky part because that could’ve happened at literally any point after they began working on the Spirit Pets. Could’ve been a week, a month, a year. I like to think at least 3 months passed offscreen to account for them settling into their new responsibilities, getting to know each other better, and Player going to some disney worlds in between. The way they talk in the Shift Pride scene also suggests that a “substantial” amount of time has passed since they met at the graveyard. Like for example, Ephemera asks if they all remember reading about Shift Pride in the rulebook. He wouldn’t be asking if that they’d all just read it a few days prior, you know what I mean?

Following along the next scenes…yeah, it checks out. Lauriam meets Elrena, then returns to the tower. Then I assume he meets Player later the day after, since Eph says he wants to spend the day with them (implying “an entire new day”). Then the glitches happen and Eph and Player go off to Game Central Station. I’d guesstimate Eph is there for the rest of that day, and returns to Daybreak later that night.

Everything that happens after Eph returns from GCS (aka the impostor leader stuff, Maleficent vs Lauriam, Lauriam’s breakdown) happens concurrently with the rest of Player’s time in Candy Kingdom, which could reasonably be an additional 1-2 days maybe? And then they return to Daybreak just in time for the fight against Darkness

The next possible timeskip we get is after Ven’s sacrifice, where he’s unconscious. I can’t imagine it’s more than a day though, since Darkness just informed them that the world is ending, so there’d be that sense of urgency to get the lifeboats and everything all set up. I’d say maybe a few hours passed. And everything that follows in the finale happens consecutively.

So if we wanna approximately add it up…the union leaders’ collective screen time would encapsulate a week or less than a week’s worth of in-universe time. (4 days like you said seems reasonable, I’m just overshooting it a bit to provide some leeway.)

So in conclusion, we only got to see about one week of the time the union leaders spent together. Which is really insane to think about if you ask me!!

Maybe a 3? Like, I don't hate it but I'm not too fond of it either. I enjoy reading what I have written more often than not and I like putting [GERMAN WORD] or [TBD - WRITE SMTH ABOUT XY] ever so often while writing, but I don't enjoy changing the story afterwards much. I rarely change big things, usually only a scene or two and a few expressions. That said, I have to read every scene like 15 times before posting to scour for errors - and I am certain I am missing so many anyway.

Okay, let's go with fugitive Doctor/River. (Did you expect this by any chance? ;) )

People have been speculating that she is talking about 13, which I get, definitely. But I want to argue that it is the superior interpretation that she would be talking about the fugitive Doctor (or another incarnation the Doctor has forgotten about but where would be the fun in that?). For the following reasons:

Vibes. This is the important point. River says 12 reminds her of the wife, so they have to be alike-ish. And I feel like 12 and the fugitive Doctor have a certain similarity in their demeanour. I think a big thing is how they hold themselves upright, actually, but also the whole Danny calling 12 an officer when the fugitive Doctor actually is one. Also the underlying kindness both of them possess and the end-life-crisis. They both lose all of their companions (Clara, Bill and Nardole vs Karvanista, Gat and Lee - one lives on but they can never see them again/forget about them, the other two die (or that's what they believe at least) and it is their fault) and I would argue they both are thinking about not regenerating this time. (I reckon the fugitive Doctor does not have a choice though.)

Loss. See the last point. The Doctor loses everything in fotj. Give her her wife, at least, please. Let River bring her some love and companionship <3 13 loses a lot as well but she's got Yaz. Which also leads us to:

Thasmin. Like, you know, if River had been tangibly in the 13th Doctor's life in any way, thasmin would have kissed. 100%. They didn't, so River didn't marry 13, simple as that.

Timelines. River does not know about more faces of the Doctor and well, 13 is older than 12. Of course, she could lie to her and yes, River gets married a little carelessly, so she might have married some John Smith!13. But if she met the fugitive Doctor - who seems very different from the timelord she knows and has no recollection of the Doctor's life, it would be easy for her to draw the conclusion that the Doctor is just some other person going by that name. And the fugitive Doctor would forget about her, of course. There's also a good possibility, River isn't actually married to the Doctor but to Ruth.

Time, Doctor's side. Honestly, 13 just doesn't have enough time to get married to River. Am I still hoping we will get those two on screen (or audio) together? Of course! But 13 is kinda busy, most of the time we either see her with the fam (who don't know River, see lotsd) or very occupied with stuff (like apocalypses or prison).

So, yeah, headcanon: The fugitive Doctor is River's second wife.

(The first is Cleopatra, right? Like Idk if there is canon confirmation but it feels true.)

Okay, when I read this question, I thought I wouldn't have any idea. But I have. Several. Lets start. Fics I would will into existence if I could:

Full-length Little VVomen.

I know we won't get the movie, but I'll gladly take it as a novel fic. Just for an explanation: Little VVomen is a parody trailer for a crossover of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women and the horror movie VVitch (I assume, I don't actually know VVitch). And it is glorious. Just -

- If it's about a girl, make sure she's married by the end. - Does it have to be to a man?

lives in my head rent free. I want a full story of Jo March saying gay rights, writing spells and sacrificing innocent men, pretty please <3 And I really, really want to know what's up with the Sean!devil.

2. Strax fairytale!! written by you :)

Strax as a fairytale protagonist is SUCH an inspired idea and I am hoping very much that you will get round to it some day. But I can't really tell you anything about that that you don't know better yourself.

Or, maybe, I can: I have become kinda enarmoured with the 'Strax as the faithful Johannes' idea, I have always adored that tale, mainly for the tragedy and extremely strong friendship theme. Like, it is so clear that the king's most important relationship is his friendship to his servant. The princess is lovely but they barely know each other, yet. And I think there is SO much potential to improve the abduction scene and the ending. So, yeah, I have been turning that around in my head a bit.

But no matter which tale you will pick, if you ever write a fic for him, I am sure I will absolutely love it!

So, I actually enjoyed the 60th anniversary (at least wild blue yonder, that much very much had a premise of my type of dw ep) but I still believe we could have done better than bringing back dt for the umpteenth time. (Listen, he is lovely, don't get me wrong, and I liked '14' too, but just - )

I have written a post about why I think making the fugitive Doctor's face return would have been a more interesting choice and I would still love to read it as a fic.

I don't really care whether it would be a simple retelling of the three eps with her instead of tenteen or a completely different tale. I WOULD like to see Donna though (because can you imagine?? Also that scene where Donna just acts like she knows the Doctor all of a sudden? When the Doctor doesn't even really know herself but feels like she should?) and if we could spring for some Karvanista on top, that'd be ace <3

I would give this one to DiscipleOfBrad because I trust them to write a convincing fugitive Doctor. I really enjoyed her in The Cul-de-Sac (which btw I can highly recommend if you'd like some soft thasmin and an intriguing premise. There is a heavy side of whouffaldi, though, I'm not sure whether that is your thing?).

I feel like it always helps me to get myself into a 'I can't do anything else now anyway' situation? That's why trainrides are so good for writing. I just need to be in a situation where I can't take care of more pressing matters, so it won't feel overwhelming if I don't take care of them?

Like, I will rather scroll tumblr than work on my thesis but I won't write. But if I am away from wifi, I might not be able to work on the thesis anyway, so I will easier find the peace of mind (and hence energy and creativity) to write?

Idk maybe that's just me. Maybe it's not working at all either. Honestly, I don't quite know where energy, creativity or motivation to write come from. They just knock and then they're there.

🏜️What's your favourite type of comment to receive on your work?

Well, obviously, I adore long comments, who doesn't? But just saying 'long' feels both greedy and like cheating, so let's talk content.

I think, what excites me most in a comment is when I can sense the enthousiasm? It doesn't necessarily have to be for the content of my fic, I had someone write 'YOU MADE A CROSSOVER FOR THESE TWO FANDOMS?? THEY'RE MY FAVOURITE!!" and it made me smile for a day. Just, I write those things because I love the characters and themes and if someone shows that they share this passion? That's community, that's what we're searching for, isn't it?

But also I got a comment today that was just a bunch of predictions about the next chapter of my current fic and that felt amazing! Generally, when people notice things or I feel they have been paying attention, that is SO GOOD. That's probably also why we love long comments. I mean, generally, every second you spend reading the comment is gold, so the longer the comment the more seconds there are, but also a long comment will usually go into detail. Make predictions. Notice things. Talk about how they perceive the characters and why something made sense/surprised them. Quote your fic back to you. And like, all of that is so much fun. It's like reading your story again, remembering why you wrote it. It's the best feeling in the world.

I don't 😭 The place where I live doesn't allow pets and besides, I am away a lot and not planning on staying in this town much longer anyway. So, yeah, it'd be difficult to have a pet. I really, really want to though. Preferably a cat but I'd be so happy with a dog as well. Or a turtle? Or bunny? Or a lizard? I think you could make me happy with almost any mammal and many types of reptiles <3 (not much into insects or fish though. And I feel weird about birds in cages.)

1. Bappy - BadBoyHalo x Skeppy (sept)

Bappy is the first fusion after the discovery of the crystals between Skeppy and BBH. When Sapnap visits, BBH shows him the crystals and tells him about the experience. Interested, Sapnap borrows the crystal from Bad.

2. Buret - Eret x Wilbur Soot (sept 22)

On the day of the L’manburg Election, Wilbur is saved from his untimely death by Eret and fused together in the process, creating “Buret”. With their combined strength, Buret easily evades their pursuers. When they unfuse, Eret and Wilbur exchange some words, and (while their relationship is not completely fixed) they part on amicable terms.

3. Feret - Eret x Fundy ()

The days following the election had everyone recuperating. Fundy approached Eret, knowing he had a crystal, and told him he wanted to know more about it. They accidentally form the fusion “Feret”, which was odd experience to say the least. Eret decided to gift the crystal to Niki as he no longer wanted it.

4. Santa - Sapnap x Antfrost (oct 5)

In the battle of the burning eiffel tower, Niki was held hostage by BBH, Skeppy, Sapnap, Punz, and Antfrost. Tommy attempted to rescue her, and recruited Dream and Technoblade to help him. Eventually she escaped, but stayed near the battle. The fight took a turn for the worse when Sapnap and AntFrost fused into “Santa” and began to overpower them.

5. Tekni - Niki Nihachu x Technoblade (oct 5)

The battle triggered Techno’s blood frenzy, cutting down everything in his path. Niki reflexively shielded herself with her arms, a crystal in hand. Surprisingly, they fused into “Tekni”, and they began to change the tide of the battle. The rescue party left their pursuers licking their wounds, and successfully escaped. Techno left the encounter with a newfound respect for Nihachu, and Niki no longer feared the infamous war god that was Technoblade.

BadBoyHalo and Awesamdude become the fusion “Bam” in order to win the battle in the Second Pet War.

Schlatt hires Dream to protect him during the rebellion in exchange for the revival book. Dreams accepts, but Schlatt says that his basic protection isn’t enough. He waves a crystal at Dream’s face, which he got from Ponk during the trade agreement with Lemon City.

Dream refuses at first, but reluctantly accepts at Schlatt’s insistence. On the day of the Rebellion, the pogtopia resistance is met by “Dratt”. The battle is long and fierce with no signs of ending, when suddenly Dratt defuses on their own. Dream stood to the side while Schlatt monologues and dies from a heart attack.

8. Piffi - Niki x Captain Puffy (nov 28)

Niki and Captain Puffy end up fusing on their date into “Piffi”. They spend the rest of their date as Piffi.

9. Snarl - Sapnap x Karl Jacobs (dec 6)

In the Mexican L’manburg vs. Dream SMP conflict, Karl had agreed to sacrifice his life for the cause according to Quackity’s plan. Sapnap secretly disagreed with this, and saved Karl right before his death. They formed the fusion “Snarl”.

10. Team - Dream x Techno (dec 16)

Technoblade was dragged back to L’Manburg for his execution. Dream rescued him, and proposed the easiest way to escape by holding up a crystal. Techno agreed, and the terrifying fusion “Team” was born. Team easily overpowered everyone and made their quick getaway. Dream let Techno keep the crystal.

11. Puffet - Puffy x Eret (jan 6)

Team made a terrifying return on Doomsday. The defenders of L’Manburg and their allies struggled. Niki refused to help, but she lent her crystal to Eret and Puffy because she still trusts them. They become “Puffet” who was a great help in taking down the withers. Quackity approaches Sapnap and suggests they fuse. Sapnap pulls out his crystal, but an tnt drops on them and sends them flying. The crystal was lost.

12. Totum - Tommyinnit x Tubbo (jan 20)

The Final Waltz. Punz gave his crystal, that he got from a trade with Skeppy, to Tubbo and Tommy. They became “Totum” and overpower Dream. Tubbo keeps the crystal.

13. Purfool - Purpled x Foolish Gamers (april 25)

During the Red Banquet, the eggpire members had set up to sacrifice their guests, starting with Foolish. When Quackity breaks in with Techno and Purpled. Purpled immediately moves in and rescues Foolish. They fuse, revealing the crystal Purpled had found, and become “Purfool”. Quackity suggests to Techno that they should fuse too. Techno refuses, and they save the rest of the guests.

The Parallel Paladin was originally Cyon from an alternate timeline, where he was sent deep into Another Dimension instead of Dimension Gaia by Fecto Advenus. There, he was raised by flocks of Sphere Doomers, and over time he has learned to harness the anomalous powers of Another Dimension, therefore transforming into a very formidable interdimensional knight. He also has a pet Rampaging Doomer, the Squire Doomer, which you have already seen in the music video for "VS. Unleashed Doomers".

the one i keep mentioning as a drabble i'm working on is a more villainous/darker au. kind of as a vent piece, but there's of course self-indulgence in there as well. that's sort of the name of the game with f/os though, i guess! :0

i've been told that some of mine definitely fit the kind of "type" i seem to have. haurchefant is definitely in line with that! i saw someone say that he and sidon were the same genre of character, and i definitely like sidon, so.

edelgard and veronica are both the same kind of genre i think, too, which edelgard does mention in heroes! girls who ultimately just... really need someone by their side, and with support they can leave behind the darkness within them and do the right thing. while of course the villainy is a lovely aspect in some ways, the idea of being able to help them just... makes me really happy, and i don't want them to feel lonely anymore. perhaps a bit overly sentimental?;; (also edelgard has an axe and that's really freakin' cool)

ryuko is a similar genre too i think, but she's kind of like. a variation of the genre. she's someone who needs love and support as well, but her concerns are more self-motivated as opposed to a desire to do good or control others. they all learn a lot on their journeys and i think they're all amazing! <3

eula is another kind of variation on that genre too? spent so much of her life feeling scorned and hated, yet chooses to the do the right thing anyway after others finally give her a chance to. she's strong but still keeps a front up, but once you get to know her you understand her way of thinking more. i think that's really cool too!

Human dosing vs other animal dosing can vary wildly. For a non-vaccine example, two otc benadryl at 25mg each (50mg total) twice per day (100mg daily total) knocks me on my ass. I'm roughly 200lbs. My 100lb dog takes 4 (100mg total) three times per day (300mg daily total) during an allergic reaction and is kinda tired.

In a different example, I can take tylenol and alieve and my dogs cannot or they could die.

We're different types of animals, so different reactions to drugs are to be expected. After all, we also can eat grapes, onions, garlic, chocolate, and artificial sweetners and those things are all potentially deadly to our canine pals depending on how much they eat vs their size. Meanwhile dogs are perfectly capable of digesting raw meats, bones, organs, blood, poop, even in semi-decomposed states due to their scavenging nature (even though personally I wouldn't recommend letting your pet eat rotten meat or literal actual feces, street dogs eat whatever they pull out of the garbage).

There are negative side effects to the rabies vaccine in our pets. Animals are frequently stoic, and obviously can't talk, so things are a little more subtle for the most part. Depression, lethargy, and irritability (all common signs of pain in our pets), vaccine-site redness/soreness/swelling, occasionally in rare cases diarrhea, vomiting, facial swelling, and difficulty breathing (usually signs of an allergic reaction). These side effects are often cited as the reason not to want to vaccinate for rabies. In most cases these are resolved within 24 hours and the longest I've seen a side effect last (vaccine-site swelling) was about a week. Personally I think 1 to 7 days of feeling crummy are worth the protection offered.

Very old and very sick pets as well as pets with extreme life-threatening reactions are more likely to be granted legal exemption from mandated rabies vaccines, but that does not spare them from the ultimate fate of getting their heads cut off if ever rabies risk comes into question. When we do this at work for clients, we explain to them the legal risk- even though their ancient 16 year old dog with stage 4 cancer probably isn't going to fight a raccoon or bite the mailman, if those things happen and there is no valid rabies vaccination, they will still be required to at minimum quarantine and at worst be destroyed so their brain can be biopsied.

Rabies vaccinations for humans are pretty expensive to make, but I don't know what makes them so pricey. I also don't know the re-vaccination timeline but I do know there is one. Certain vaccinations inject a weakened version of the virus so your body can fight it off, other vaccinations use a dead or mostly-destroyed version of the virus, and others use only a piece of the virus. Depending on which version and which virus, you may only need one jab in your entire life or you may need to booster as often as every 6 months. This is also the case for pets. The rabies vaccination uses the dead virus- it can't give you rabies, but it can teach your body how to fight it.

Rabies, like other viruses, evolves and has multiple variants. Luckily, the vaccination seems to be effective for all known variants at this time. But re-vaccination also helps "remind" your immune system of how to defend against it in case it begins to "forget" and lose antibodies, which it can over time. In some states, after the first course (yearly), you can switch to every three years with dogs and cats because it typically only starts to lose effectiveness after more than 3-5 years. We can test this with titers, but titers are very expensive and have no legal standing to protect your pet from decapitation if exposure happens. This is because we've seen animals with positive titers (meaning there are at least some antibodies against rabies present in the blood) still become symptomatic and contagious after exposure (see oft-mentioned study with mice and bats and aerosolized rabies) so it's important to stay on schedule.

Lastly, rabies shots aren't treated like chicken pox or measles despite imo being a far more deadly disease, for the simple reason that the risk is entirely avoidable. Don't touch any non-human mammal you can't verify vaccine status of. If you HAVE to touch, use proper PPE- bite gloves, muzzles, rabies poles, etc. Doing a good deed and saving a confused and disoriented possum* from the dogs in your yard is a nice thought, but maybe usher it along with something other than your hands and then sanitize the fuck out of everything you saw it touch on its way out. Go to the hospital immediately if you disregarded those rules or if an unknown mammal charged at you and attacked you while you were minding your own business. Any bat you find in your house should be treated like it bit you unless you personally watched it come in and know for a 100% fact that it didn't bite you- bat bites frequently don't leave marks or draw blood, so randomly finding a bat should be treated like it bit you regardless of any evidence to say yes or no.

*American possums do not frequently have rabies but contrary to popular belief can, in theory, still have it and so should still be treated with caution. Their body temperatures are very low and it's difficult for the virus to survive in that state, but not impossible. ANY AND ALL visibly disoriented and neurological mammals should be treated as though they have rabies as that is a major symptom in both "dumb rabies" and "furious rabies" stages. This possum was in a friend's yard and I scooped it up with a shovel and brought it out to the woods, and then bleached the fuck out of the shovel and everything else it touched. It was walking like it was drunk and having a hard time climbing her fence. More likely it was either hit by a car with brain damage or had EPM, but you can never be too careful.

"rabies is treatable if you go to the doctor right after the bite" rabies is PREVENTABLE, not treatable. There is no cure for rabies. If you suspect you came into contact with a rabid animal, you need to get a series of rabies vaccinations to prevent the virus from taking over your body. This is not a treatment and it only works if you go right away. If you show any symptoms of rabies it is too late.

"rabies is fatal in animals but treatable in humans" rabies has a 100% fatality rate and is not considered a survivable disease at this point in time. If you contract rabies YOU WILL DIE. The "treatment" in humans is called the Milwaukee Protocol, only 14% of people survive it, and it leaves you with massive brain damage and effectively turns you into a vegetable. You do not return to a normal life afterwards. Very few people who have undergone this process are capable of doing more than laying in a hospital bed and eating and breathing through tubes. To my knowledge only one person was able to live a semi-normal life after years and years of ongoing therapy and was not expected to have made it even through her first year after treatment.

I cannot stress enough how rabies is unlike any other disease you may be thinking of. It's required on a federal level in this country to vaccinate pretty much any domestic animal that comes into contact with wildlife for one reason and one reason only: it is not considered possible to cure rabies and the spread of disease would threaten all mammalian life including our own if allowed to continue to propagate.
